For Paper I (Classes 1-5):
- Higher Secondary (+2 or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PH candidates)
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / CT) OR 4-year B.El.Ed OR 2-year Diploma in Special Education
- Final year students of NCTE/RCI recognized teacher education programmes are also eligible
- Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (final year) OR B.Ed degree
- Candidates should have qualifying marks as per category
- Candidates must meet the age criteria as specified by the BSE Odisha
- Age relaxation applicable for reserved category candidates as per government norms
