Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• For IES: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university
• For ISS: Bachelor’s degree with Statistics as one of the subjects, or Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject at degree level

Examination Pattern

Preliminary Examination:

• Two papers of 200 marks each
• General Studies Paper: 200 marks (2 hours)
• Subject-specific Paper: 200 marks (2 hours)
• Qualifying nature – only qualifying candidates move to main examination
• Negative marking applicable

Main Examination:

• Consists of 4 subject-specific papers
• Each paper is worth 200 marks
• Total marks: 800
• Duration: 3 hours per paper
• Candidates must appear in all papers to be eligible for personality test

Personality Test/Interview:

• 200 marks
• Conducted to assess personality traits and communication skills
• Only candidates qualifying in main examination are called for interview
